Who We Are
1971 – Cihangir Group’s founder Mehmet Cihangir Yücel graduated as a civil engineer from university for which he has been awarded a scholarship after the completion of successful high school years as a boarding student.
1972 – He assumed various positions in highway administration after graduation. He started as a site engineer and continued working in different positions as field chief, site chief etc.
1979 – Mehmet Cihangir Yücel left his position at the highway administration to work as a site chief in Libya.
1980 – Returning to his home country together with all the experiences he gained during his career, Mehmet Cihangir Yücel laid the foundations of Cihangir Construction.
1981 – Cihangir Construction which was founded in this year succeeded in many construction, infrastructure and contractual projects in public and private sectors at various locations in Turkey with its strong partnerships as well as its own resources and expertise.
2000 – Cihangir Construction continued its activities with Ömer Yücel and Cumhur Yücel, second generation of civil engineers from Yücel family, following a wide vision which was not limited to the field of construction.
2010 – As one of the leading names in its own sector with its successful steps and completed big projects, Cihangir Construction constituted Cihangir Group together with other companies in its core.
2016 – Foundation for CUS Construction as one of the group companies was laid in United States of America.
2017 – Investment projects were given a rapid start.
2018 – Creating a momentum with its private sector projects, Cihangir Construction will continue its investments with contractual projects.
