The project is a single, integrated development at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), officially named the Information Processing Center and Eurasian Institute of Earth Sciences Building and Transformer Construction Project, which was completed in 2020 to serve two major functions within a single, state-of-the-art, 8,500 m2 structure: it provides an environmentally friendly, high-security home for the Directorate of Information Processing (İTÜ's central data storage and processing hub) and features dedicated floors (3rd and 4th) and seven new laboratories for the Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences (EIES) to facilitate advanced academic and scientific work. The six-story building (basement, ground, plus four floors) was designed to align with the "Green Campus İTÜ" philosophy and achieve LEED certification for its sustainability features.
